WORK EXPERIENCE
2017-2020 — Full-time Web Content Manager for Rocky Mountain College. Managed 2017 redesign of rocky.edu and conversion to Drupal platform. Managed all website content and handled various internal and external communications duties, including writing, editing and sending College press releases, producing biannual Green & Gold magazine, and serving as point of contact for media inquiries.
1999-2017— Full-time freelance Web Developer. Extensive development and maintenance of Web sites for a variety of clients, including Levi Strauss & Co., Visa International and The Nature Conservancy. Skills acquired include: Web design, content, architecture and user interface development; hard coding of .html, .php, and javascript; extensive graphics and design production using Adobe Photoshop; WordPress site production / customization; writing and editing online content.
1996-1999 — Full-time Communications Consultant for Levi Strauss & Co. Developed and maintained more than 20 Web sites. Editor for “News in Brief” employee e-mail newsletter (5K audience). Additional responsibilities include writing and editing senior executive-level business communications (internal and external) and business research reports.
1991-1995 — Assistant Editor, InSights magazine (The National Rifle Association’s junior member publication) and Shooting Sports USA (NRA’s publication for competitive shooters). Assisted in all aspects of producing these four-color publications from concept to delivery, including: writing, editing, proofreading, photography, and design. Additional duties included generating story ideas, maintaining subscription lists and coordinating with writers, photographers, designers, and printers. This position also required travel assignments to cover Olympic-level competitive matches and shooting events.
1988-90 — Senior trademark Research Analyst for Thomson & Thomson International. Duties included daily production of legal research reports and floor supervision of Common Law department computer systems.
